Recent news about the Silver Spade   Welders work to repair the Spade's dipper At about the same time, with the spade's future in question, the unthinkable happened: The dipper broke. More than a few of us thought that this might  mean the end, and for a while we all held our breath. Though Consol had the dipper repaired, the spade only worked a few more days and was parked.   Before long, the spade was parked, welded closed, and fenced in.
